Jason, posting from his headquarters over at The University Kid recently wrote a post entitled ‘contests will make you sick money’, where he touches on some of the benefits on holdings contests on your sites. Contest benefits such as raising rss subscriber count, increasing comments etc. In particular he speaks of how this can be good thing for sites you build to sell and how a contest will quickly improve your overall value. Check it out, it’s a good site (and the inspiration for the title here at Read The Damn Rules).
Seems like there were quite a few contests going on with some good prizes from Market Leverage.
Here is one from Affiliate Confession, which is a good blog I enjoy reading & would recommend. The contest also features prizes from Vat19.com - I am hoping to win big - I need the banana bunker to protect my monkey sticks from getting smashed.

What matters is that wpthemedesigner.com has a blog contest and that is why we are here. More damn themes than you can shake a stick at. Once you win big you will have to find other excuses because not having a good theme won’t be a viable complaint for the truth of the matter that content is hard work.
